Senior Mechanical Engineer

Comprehensive Engineering is seeking a candidate to fill the position of Senior Mechanical Engineer. This position requires HVAC, plumbing, and fire protection engineering skills along with written and verbal communication skills.

Education and registration:
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering
PE license preferred or ability to become licensed

Experience and skills:
Minimum 10 years of experience
Experience in building codes and design standards
Knowledge of ASHRAE manuals and LEED design requirements
Experience with Trane Trace software or similar load calculation program
Excellent written and verbal communication skills required
Experience with CAD and Revit is a plus
Must be active in project management and experienced with Client accounts

Job Responsibilities:
Manage a team of engineers and architects
Design of HVAC and control systems
Evaluate, assess, and report on existing mechanical systems
Experience with preparation of construction drawings and specifications
Coordination with engineering disciplines and architects
Manage contractor RFIs and submittal review process
Knowledge of building codes and contracts to develop responses to AHJ
Client presentation and proposal writing skills

Plumbing Engineer

Comprehensive Engineering is seeking a candidate to fill the position of Plumbing Engineer. This position requires plumbing and fire protection engineering skills along with written and verbal communication skills.

Education and registration:
Bachelor’s degree
PE license preferred or ability to become licensed

Experience and skills:
Minimum 3-5 years of experience
Experience with design for plumbing and fire protection systems
Experience with the International Plumbing Code
Experience with CAD and Revit is a plus
